When I was in the Air Force I had the honour of accompanying a squad of Royal Marines to Afghanistan. During transit we stopped at an American base. Unfortunately a few days previous several US troops were KIA BLUE ON BLUE. We were having a drink and a meal in the PBX when some Green Berets arrived upon seeing us one of them became insensed. He started to shout at us and wanted to know why no British Troops had been killed so far. We sat there quietly and tried to ignore him. But despite the pleas of his comrades he demanded an answer. It was then I stood up and looking him in the eyes said "Because your fucking Air Force can't find us".
