Formby Police in conjunction with local RSPCA officers, are investigating reports of numerous Liverpool FC player-residents deploying attack dogs to guard their million-pound homes. A spokesman of the combined initiative, believed to be the first of it's kind in the UK said, "We're all aware how frequently our footballers are targeted by burglars and criminals, particularly in Formby where so many have set up home, but we're talking about dogs that are supplied by a known source, bred to be ferocious and all of which could quite easily cause extreme injury to the public if allowed to roam in public areas, tethered or not!" He then went on to state, "And after their performance tonight, it's obvious the "Nivea Girls" struggle to hold on to leads...."
